Eric Hobsbawm talks to Christopher Hitchens

Christopher Hitchens in conversation with Eric Hobsbawm. It’s primarily about Hobsbawm’s life and times, it is an event devoted to his autobiography after all, but history stuff does come in, the audience is very concerned to find out whether he still approves of Stalin. He does refer to him as ‘the old man,’ though, which, although doesn’t go as far as ‘Uncle Joe,’ isn’t far enough away. Oh, and speaks in admiring terms of the military operations in Iraq. Boo.
